My idea is...

Gig port on TV box

Please bring back the gigabit port in Gen3 TV Box. Gen2 boxes are 100Mbps. I know it was due to heat but there are other Gbit chipsets with smaller fabrication that generate less heat now.

To be fair most modern devices are capped at 100mbps. I have a Steam Link connected to a Fiber TV box that streams games in 1080p from my PC to my TV and it works great.

Agreed, the primary TV box should not be the only port that offers 1GB throughput hardwired.
Rather, every Google TV port should offer 1GB throughput.
Else, folks are really not getting 1GB hardwired everywhere they want it.

This was so disappointing to me when I saw that the Gen2 had moca2, but fast ethernet. What's the point of going with moca2 then? I show that the TV boxes are connected via coax at 630mpbs to the network box, but then can only extend the network at 100mbps.
